Help DeskTechnician

Core Responsibilities

• Resolves common issues with end user technology includinglaptops, desktops, tablets, mobility devices, A/V equipment and printers
• Refurbishes and repairs end user technology and identifiesall resources required to return equipment to service
• Actively monitors IT service management software to identifytechnology incidents and provide a timely response to technology servicerequests
• Identifies incidents requiring expedited resolution andescalates incidents to Help desk Supervisor when necessary
• Accepts direction from the Director of Information Technology to prioritizeincidents and projects
• Records accurate and complete documentation of incidentresolutions within IT service management software system
• Maintains accurate and complete documentation of end usertechnology equipment within IT asset management software system
• Responsible for communication incident resolutions torequestor and all identified stakeholders
• Understands and implements procedures for new equipmentdeployment and inventory equipment redeployment
• Completes special project as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience:

• One (1) year of demonstrated experience supporting endpointcomputing systems

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (required)

Physical Demands

Nature of work requires an ability to operatestandard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate andexchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up andmaintain work files. Physically demands require the ability to stand,bend, reach high and low, stoop, and walk around the classroom 60% of theday. In addition, walking up and down stairs several times aday. Must be able to lift 15 to 20 pounds for short periods of timeand push and pull 15 to 20 lbs. 

Working Conditions

Majority of work performedin a general office environment. Position requires availability forextended hours plus non-traditional hours required to perform jobduties. Also requires participation and attendance atorganization-sponsored events and meetings.
